During opening statements at today&;s House Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight & Investigations hearing about the U.S. response to , Democrats on the committee already seem to have identified one of the culprits: Funding.

Democrat Rep. Diana DeGette of Colorado was first:

Rep. Degette pushes lack of funding of gov agencies as reason for no Ebola vaccine. Will be a point pushed by Ds today.

Democrat claims that the problem exists because the GOP cut Ebola funding have been thoroughly debunked, but that didn&8217;t stop California Rep. from also blaming &;funding cuts&; for increasing the Ebola threat:

"We need to commit adequate funding to public health infrastructure." Rep Henry Waxman

Waxman: We shouldn&;t point fingers, however&;if funding hadn&039;t been cut.
